The Golf Club at The Highlands offers a full service Golf Shop with the latest styles in golf apparel and a wide assortment of golf products and equipment. We are here for your convenience before heading out on our 18-hole championship golf course.

The golf shop is located on the bottom floor of the Clubhouse in front of the practice putting green. The golf shop boasts a beautiful 1,450 square foot retail space, catering to the equipment and accessory needs of all of our golfers. Troy Thorne is the new Head Golf Professional at The Golf Club at The Highlands.  Troy is a native of the Northern Neck of Virginia.   He played Division I golf at Old Dominion University in Norfolk where he earned a degree in Marketing Management.  Troy moves from Hobbs Hole Golf Course in Tappahannock where he was the Head Golf Professional for 22 years.  He regularly competes in MAPGA Section golf tournaments and recently finished T-31 in the 2022 PGA Professional Championship.  Troy offers lessons to all skill levels of golfers.

Born and raised in Parkersburg, WV, Austin has been playing golf since age 12.  During his career he competed in and won numerous tournaments.  He has traveled and enjoyed a wide variety of positions at golf courses including Moon Valley in Arizona and Kinloch in Manakin-Sabot.  He is in his third year as Assistant Professional at the Highlands.

When not at work, Austin can be found playing other area courses!

Born and raised in Warsaw, VA, Reed has been playing golf since age 5.  During his career, Reed won several junior golf and High School events.  He is in his second year as Assistant Professional at the Highlands.  He is currently working through the PGA PGM Associate Program to become a Class A Professional.  Reed gives lessons and specializes in junior golf instruction.  He plays lots of golf and enjoys playing ping pong during his down time!
